Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama released the Assamese translation of his autobiography My Land and My People at a function held in Guwahati University during his visit last month. The spiritual leader himself released the book, which is titled Mor Desh aru Mor Manu, and it is the first Assamese version of any book written by the revered spiritual leader translated by writer Indrani Laskar. The Assamese translation is published by Lawyers’ Book Stall.

The Dalai Lama arrived in Guwahati on April 1 on a 12-day visit to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh amid loud protests by China.
